Hi there!

I’m Euka Chen, a Senior Product Designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with 10 years of experience crafting enterprise products.

Over the years, I’ve grown to love the complex challenges of enterprise product design, where ambiguity meets scale and every decision impacts both users and businesses. I’m passionate about turning high-level ideas into meaningful products that solve real-world problems. I thrive on helping teams transform abstract concepts into scalable solutions that balance business goals, technical constraints, and user needs.

My Work

In my most recent role at Sitecore (and previously at Reflektion), I led the design for a personalization platform that grew a startup’s client base from 4 to 50+, contributing to its acquisition. Post-acquisition, I continued driving design efforts, doubling the client base to 100+. Features I designed span WYSIWYG editors, analytics dashboards, developer tools and technical configurations. This journey honed my ability to design with systems thinking – balancing competing priorities, aligning cross-functional teams, and addressing pain points holistically.

My strength lies in untangling complexity and designing scalable systems – whether uncovering real needs from vague ideas, visualizing solutions to align stakeholders, or creating reusable component libraries for consistency. I’m a big fan of Figma auto layout. I love identifying patterns, defining information architecture, and bringing order to chaos while adapting to evolving technical and business needs.

Why Design?

My passion for design comes from two sources: a deep love for crafting interactive interfaces and a desire to improve usability in everyday life. These forces drive everything I do, whether taking designs from start to finish or bringing usability into every technical use case scenario.

For me, design isn’t just a blueprint for implementation. It’s at the core of discovery and ideation, and guides collaboration across teams. It’s also not just about creating good-looking interfaces – it’s about solving real user problems. Looking good is part of usability, but great design goes deeper to blend aesthetics into functionality.

Beyond Pixels

Academically, I blend play and purpose. My master’s in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University taught me the power of joyful, engaging experiences, while my dual bachelor’s degrees (Journalism and Digital Entertainment Design from Tsinghua University) instilled a love for storytelling and system thinking.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me geeking out over Asian pop culture. I’m a proud otaku, MMORPG adventurer, and fanfic writer. I thrive on the energy of live concerts and fan events. I love embracing different cultures, and I aim to make my designs just as diverse and vibrant as the cultural narratives that inspire me.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s connect and create something amazing together!
